Dart
Situated overlooking the main gardens. Dart is a single room comfortably furnished with vanity unit, shaver point, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and colour television. There is an adjacent private bathroom for your exclusive use, with electric power shower, toilet, bidet and basin.
Derwent
Is our other single room overlooking the courtyard to the 19th century coach house. Soft colours makes this a very pleasant room offering the same features and facilities as Dart. The main bathroom is adjacent with bath, power shower, toilet, basin and shaver point.
Avon
Avon is a lovely bedroom with comfortable twin beds offering our high standard of furnishings with corner basin, shaver point, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and colour television. This room is on the opposite side of the main bathroom to Derwent
Spey
Spey is a double aspect Laura Ashley decorated room overlooking the side and front gardens. It has a king sized bed and full en-suite facilities with corner power shower. Like all the other rooms, Spey has full complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and colour television.
Orchard House is a beautiful Guest House, Bed & Breakfast and TLF accommodation in a classic Edwardian building, situated on the very edge of our old market town in the heart of East Anglia.
The Coach House and Stables were built in 1880 and are within the one acre walled garden at Orchard House, a handsome Edwardian villa built in 1901.
The Coach House & Stables
The Coach House and Stables have been fully refurbished and offer high quality, flexible and comfortable self catering in Mildenhall. The Coach House sleeps 2 + 2 (on sofabed) and the Stables 4 people. East of England Tourist Board has awarded 4 star rating.
The Coach House and Stables have full gas central heating, softened water, high specification new kitchens and all new bathrooms and showers. Full insulation ensures the rooms are snug in winter and cool in summer. All furnishings including new beds and furniture has been chosen to enhance the features of these interesting building and to provide a comfortable living environment. To offer our version of 'home from home' there are colour televisions in each sitting room and the bedrooms, radio/CD players are also provided. Both kitchens have a dishwasher and fridge as well as all the essentials for cooking and eating. Mildenhall offers a variety of pubs and restaurants as well.
There is a shared utility room with tall freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer and a separate downstairs toilet. Both units have access to this through separate private doors.
The stables front door leads into a hallway and staircase up to the first floor bedrooms which are arranged as one twin room and one with king sized bed. Both have en-suites with toilet and hand basin, one has a power shower the other a bath and shower attachment.
There are large cupboards adjacent to each bedroom for clothes and luggage storing.
On the ground floor the hallway leads into the sitting/dining room and on into the kitchen. The main feature of the Stables is the west facing, fully insulated, glass wall from floor to roof level. This makes the sitting room and bedroom above very bright rooms and offers lovely views over the courtyard and gardens. The original high hayloft doors have been converted to provide additional lighting whilst still looking like the old doors from outside.
Floors are either pine, oak or Italian ceramic tiles throughout with attractive rugs. There is access to the shared utility and downstairs toilet area from the hallway.
Accommodation in all on the ground floor and has easy access with wide doors throughout. The front door leads into the large south facing sitting room which looks over the patio and courtyard. It has elevations into the high roof and lots of windows to catch the sun. The large comfy sofabed offers additional sleeping space
The kitchen is in the original coach house. This is accessed from the sitting room and offers a spacious cooking and dining room. There is storage for luggage.
